The AIS'16 plenary sessions span over five days from 6 - 10 June 2016. The plenaries include the AFRINIC-24 Meeting, the Africa Research and Education Networking (AfREN) Meeting, and the African Network Operators' Group Meeting (AfNOG-17).
About the AIS'16 Plenary Sessions
Plenary sessions bring together various African ICT stakeholder groups, including the Af* organisations, ISPs, governments, network operators and researchers, to discuss technical development and best practice, Internet governance, Internet policy development and the development of the African Internet eco-system. The sessions consist of presentations, discussions and stakeholder panel sessions on topics including:
- The allocation and management of IP addresses and ASNs
- Technical and Internet governance issues
- Networking, peering and security
- Domain names, cyber laws and registrar issues
- Updates of the African registry operations and RIR, IANA, ICANN updates
Internet Policy Development Discussions
Public policy discussion will take place during the AFRINIC-24 Meeting.
